Puducherry’s Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi has been removed from the post due to the political stir in Puducherry.
Notification was issued in this regard from the office of President Ramnath Kovind.
Who is the new Puducherry’s Lieutenant Governor?
Now in place of Kiran Bedi, Telangana Tamilisai Soundararajan has been given this additional responsibility. She will hold the post of L-G of Telangana as well as Puducherry. CM Narayanasamy, who has opened a front against LG Kiran Bedi, welcomed the move.
The directive has come at a time when elections are going to be held in Puducherry in May and Narayanasamy government of Puducherry is now seen in a minority after 4 MLAs quit the Congress party and switched to BJP.
