Types of Emergencies under Indian constitution

    The Indian constitution provides for three types of emergency:

    • 1st, National emergency arising out of the war, external aggression, or armed rebellion (Article 352)
    • 2nd, President’s rule arising out of the failure of constitutional machinery in states (Article 356)
    • 3rd, Financial Emergency (Article 360)
