United States (USA) 4 Foundational agreements with India

Followings are the United States four foundational agreements with India

  1. General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) 2002, and its extension, the Information Security Annex (ISA) signed in 2019. By exchanging classified information, it would enhance military technology collaboration.
  2. Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA), signed in 2016, will facilitate logistics support. It would enable the United States and Indian militaries to replenish, access equipment, and use resources at land facilities, airbases, and ports.
  3. The Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA), signed in 2018, facilitates Indian forces to obtain sophisticated, reliable communication equipment from the United States.
  4. Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement for Geo-Spatial Cooperation (BECA), signed in 2020, facilitates the sharing of geospatial data. This will boosts the missile’s precision or the usefulness of a drone.
